How to enter a swim meet is determined by what type of meet it is.
If you wish to enter a Gold Coast Meet or our club champs just place you name on the entry form which is placed on our club noticeboards at either Cannons Creek Pool or at the Arena. No fee is required but for a Gold Coast meet you will be required to pay a door entry when arriving at the meet, this will be explained on the flyer. Please check the flyer for any entry critera. You can also enter by emailing our Race Secretary, Sarah on race@swimporirua.co.nz. Our Calendar provides a list of upcoming meets.
Parents need to help with duty requirements as necessary (time keeping, door, refreshments etc) and write their name on the sheet provided.
For other meets, swimmers must complete the PCA Meet Entry Form and place in the Race Entry box with payment. At CCK pool the race entry box is the green letterbox not the black box on the wall, and at the Aquatic Centre it is held at reception. There is a supply of envelopes at both locations if required.
Alternatively you can email all the appropriate details to Sarah our race secretary at race@swimporirua.co.nz. If you are entering via email you must electronically place the entry fee into our meets bank account 03-0547-0205093-01 or place the money into our locked containers at either of the pools. Please state in your email how you have paid for the meet, entries are not confirmed until payment has been received.
Please ensure all entries are in before the closing date that has been written on the top of the meet flyer. Please be aware that the closing date for entries will differ than those seen on websites to allow time for processing entries and payments.
Late entries and/or entries without money will not be accepted.
PARENTS, you will be required to help out from time to time with our club’s official duties at the meets your child is swimming at. (eg. time keeping, IOT, door, refreshments….). When required our Officials Co-ordinator (Terry Laws) will contact you requesting your assistance.
Please carefully read all the conditions attached to each meet, these will be set out on the flyer.
