Entering a Swim Meet

How to enter a swim meet is determined by what type of meet it is.


Please note that whatever type of meet it is, you cannot enter a meet at another club directly. Your entry (and fees) must be done through our race secretary. In order for entries to be processed in time, our closing date will be earlier than the actual closing date advised by the organising club.


Club Meets (Champs, Swim Nights) and Gold Coast Meets:
  • Place your name (and any other details requested) on the entry form which is placed on our club noticeboards at either Cannons Creek Pool or at the Arena.

  • No fee is usually required but for a Gold Coast meet you will be required to pay a door entry when arriving at the meet, this will be explained on the flyer.
  • Please check the flyer for any entry critera, and the closing date for entries.
  • You can also enter by sending our Race Secretary an .

Other Meets (Other Clubs, Regional or National)

  • Swimmers must complete the PCA Meet Entry Form and it to the Race Secretary or place the entry form in the Race Entry box with payment. At Cannons Creek pool the race entry box is the green letterbox (not the black box on the wall), and at the Aquatic Centre it is held at reception. There is a supply of envelopes at both locations if required.

  • Please check the flyer for any entry critera, and the closing date for entries.

  • If you are entering via email you must Internet Bank the entry fee into our meets bank account 03-0547-0205093-01 or place the money into the Race Entry Box at either of the pools. Please state in your email how you have paid for the meet, entries will not be accepted until payment has been received.

  • You must ensure all entries are in before the PCA closing date that has been written on the flyer (or shown in the calendar). Please be aware that the closing date for entries may differ than those seen on other websites to allow time for processing entries and payments.


In order to enter a meet you need to be a financial member of the club (which gives you membersip of Swimming NZ).
You are classed as a financial member if you have paid the Annual Subscription by the due date, or have an approved payment plan in place.
 
 Any entry received after the closing date and/or if the entry fees are not paid (including Internet Payments) by the closing date, may not be accepted.

Parents / Caregivers:

  • You will be required to help out from time to time with our clubs official duties at the meets your child is swimming at. (eg. time keeping, IOT, door, refreshments).

  • When required our Officials Co-ordinator (Terry Laws) will contact you requesting your assistance.
